Eight structural formulas numbered 1 to 8: 1 — pyrazine (six-membered ring with two N atoms opposite each other); 2 — pyrylium cation (six-membered ring with O and a + charge); 3 — pyrrolium cation (five-membered ring with N+ bearing two H); 4 — cycloheptatriene (seven-membered ring with three double bonds); 5 — cyclooctatetraene (eight-membered ring); 6 — 1,3,5-triazine (six-membered ring with three N); 7 — 1,2,4-triazole (five-membered ring with N–N, N and NH); 8 — a large twelve-membered ring with alternating double bonds.
