Условие

Four photographs in a 2×2 grid: top row, two views of a liquid jet falling onto a surface with a red laser spot and bright red rings of light around the jet at the contact point; bottom row, two views on a black background showing the red glowing rings around the jet.

Let a liquid jet fall onto a surface. If the contact point is illuminated by a laser beam, rings of light around the jet can be observed (see Figure). Investigate the light rings and determine how they depend on relevant parameters of the whole system.
